As CEO, you’re always the last one to know. I touched on this earlier, but people really don’t want to bring the CEO bad news. I’ve had several instances where someone has come to me and said, “well, we were having this problem, so we solved it.” It’s great that it’s solved, but I have questions. How quickly did we fix it? How did we decide that this was the best path forward? Could I have helped if I had been brought in earlier? You have to work hard to be the CEO and stay in the loop of communication at the same time.
