Consensus Cloud Solutions to Host Demonstration & Panel Session at HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition

Event, Interoperability
4 minute read

As the global conference circuit begins to make its long-awaited comeback, we are eagerly awaiting our upcoming participation at this year’s HIMSS Global Health Conference & Exhibition (HIMSS21), taking place August 9 – 13, 2021 in Las Vegas, Nevada. But this appearance at HIMSS is even more significant than those of past shows! At HIMSS 21, we will be making our debut as Consensus Cloud Solutions, a soon to be standalone company spinning off from J2 Global, Inc. Throughout the week at our booth #1518 located on the main exhibitor floor, we will unveil plans on how we will bring seamless interoperability to providers and payers across the healthcare ecosystem. Attendees will be introduced to our suite of solutions which offers a unified digital environment that optimizes workflows, provides real-time event notifications, on-demand patient query, direct secure messaging, universal APIs, Natural Language Processing (NLP)/AI, electronic signature, and eFax Corporate HITRUST CSF® Certified digital cloud faxing.

Interoperability Showcase Demonstration of Real Use Cases

In addition to showcasing how Consensus Cloud Solutions helps organizations transform their digital journey and deliver better patient care, we will showcase how we plan to take the industry one step closer to achieving seamless interoperability between all stakeholders through two additions to our product suite. Called Consensus Clarity, this AI and NLP automation solution helps healthcare organizations move unstructured EMR data and clinical content to structured, analytics-ready data. We’ll also be demonstrating Consensus Harmony, to show how this universal API can share structured data with other healthcare systems for better care coordination. Details on both new solutions will be showcased with demonstrations at the Interoperability Showcase (Booth C200-47).

Both existing and potential clients are welcome to come to our booth at the Interoperability Showcase any time during exhibit hours to see our demonstration, AI Enabled Workflow Transformation, and ask questions of our product team. During the demonstration clients will follow Dr. Martin, a primary care physician with a medium-sized community practice, as she converts unstructured documents into C-CDAs that can be automated by her EHR – improving her workflow while still maintaining the original file that can be faxed to her local community. This demonstration will cover a variety of topics including but not limited to AI, care transitions, blockchain, APIs, NLP, e-signature and HL7 FHIR. We are proud to be working alongside incredible healthcare organizations on this demonstration such as EPIC, Kno2, MatrixCare, and RedHat. Showing how Consensus Cloud Solutions leverages our technology heritage to help providers like Dr. Martin move from simple digital documents to advanced healthcare standard HL7/FHIR for secure data transport as well as NLP/AI to convert those unstructured documents to structured data is critical to helping users unveil information that is meaningful and actionable.

To learn more, we invite you to see this demonstration at Caesars Forum Conference Center, Booth C200-47, which will occur at 15 minutes past the hour during all exhibit hours: Tuesday from 9:30AM – 6:00PM, Wednesday from 9:30AM – 6:00PM, and Thursday from 9:30AM – 4:00PM.

Education Session Panel at Thought Leadership Theater

In addition to our Interoperability Showcase demonstration of the AI Enabled Workflow Transformation, Consensus Cloud Solutions will be hosting an educational panel session at Caesars Forum Conference Center, Booth C200-47, Thought Leadership Theater. This panel session, Unleashing Unstructured Value Through Artificial Intelligence, will take place Wednesday, August 11 from 10:45AM – 11:45AM and will be moderated by Frank Toscano of Consensus Cloud Solutions, and features notable panelists Karim Galil of Mendel and Therasa Bell of Know2.

Panelists will discuss how unstructured data plagues the healthcare industry as it resists automation and bogs down workflows. With the implementation of the 21st Century Cures Act, more information will need to be interoperable outside of any organization. The session will feature discussions on how OCR and Natural Language Processing can close this digital divide in healthcare among other topics including:

  • Challenges healthcare has faced in structuring and sharing its data.
  • How AI can help close technology gaps and unlock the potential of important documents to improve the delivery of healthcare, quality reporting, research, and safety.
  • Important factors to consider when selecting an AI automation solution.
